Life is going good, as far as I can tell from my point of view, in prettymuch all aspects of it (apart for waiting for my exam results which as ever causes me slight worry about not doing well enough.)

That aside, I'm happy to report on (and brag about =p) being able to attend the Friday 3rd July Hyde Park Blur concert. For all of you who don't know who Blur is then *slap* shame on you! For all of you who do know who they are, then you should know that the Friday concert was the one that sold out in the space of 2 minutes after the tickets went on sale. Technically, it was my dad who's the major fan of Blur, but he got two tickets for the both of us and a pair of grandstand seats, so we were able to have seats and an awesome view :D

The first warm up act was......... gah, forgot the name =p, nevermind. They were reasonably good, as far as I was concerned, and helped warm up the crowd. Follow up was Florence and the Machine, who were absolutely brilliant. The lead singer had a powerful voice, and the songs they played were wonderfully done. The followup act of Amadu and Marian didn't please the crowd as much, but did supply a fun selection of world music for us. Finally, Vampire Weekend closed the supporting acts with a fun selection of light-hearted and plain fun songs, which we all enjoyed (especially the drunk scotsman behind us, I kept thinking he was trying to destroy my spine when he slammed his foot into the grandstand along with the beat =p) After the Support acts, at exactly 8:15pm, Blur arrived on stage

When they arrived on stage, the cheering that emerged was immense. Blur started off with playing "She's so High" (which was their first single) and went onto play "Girls and Boys" right after. as a whole, the songs being played were crowd pleasers, which suited everyone, and me, fine. Out of all of the songs being played though, "Parklife" and "Song 2" got the highest reception, which ALL of 45,000 people participated in, rocking like mad to the songs, and singing along perfectly to both of them. (Let me tell you all, I've personally never seen anything quite so impressive as 45,000 people jumping up and down in time with each other waving hands in the air and enjoying themselves while perfectly singing the lyrics to those two songs =p. It was EPIC!) Finally, Blur ended the gig at 10:30 with "The Universal", and we made our way home from London, getting back at about 00:45am..... and going straight to bed. Anyway, good times :P
